Lollapalooza Lineup For Summer 2022 In Chicago: The lineup for Lollapalooza 2022, which will take place at Grant Park, has been announced. The headliners for this summer’s music festival in Chicago include Metallica, Dua Lipa, J. Cole, Green Day, Doja Cat, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Baby, and Kygo.
Lollapalooza will be back in full form this year, according to a statement released by the festival on Tuesday, with over 170 acts set for eight stages on Chicago’s lakefront park over the last weekend of July. There’s also food from 35 chefs and restaurants, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. This summer, Kidzapalooza will be back, with free admission for children aged 10 and under.

Among the Chicago artists are 100 gecs, John Summit, Beach Bunny, Horsegirl, and Jackie Hayes. Newcomers include Remi Wolf, Fletcher, Zach Bryan, PinkPantheress, Muna, Goth Babe, Role Model, Wet Leg, Gracie Abrams, Pi’erre Bourne, Glaive, and Maude Latour.

As an incentive for individuals to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine, the city of Chicago gave free one-day passes to Lollapalooza 2021 last year. According to the city’s Department of Public Health commissioner, the subsequent festival was a success in terms of safety amid the contagious virus, with no evidence that the estimated 385,000-person event was a “‘super-spreader’ event” or had any “substantial impact on Chicago’s COVID-19 epidemiology.”
Even as the 2021 festival was underway, Lolla was one of the first large music festivals to return to Chicago last summer, battling at times to stay up with changing vaccine and mask requirements for the city and state. Lollapalooza is being held in Austin, Texas, by C3 Presents, a division of Live Nation.

From Thursday, July 28 to Sunday, July 31, Lollapalooza 2022 will take place in Grant Park from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Four-Day Tickets will be available at noon Tuesday on www.lollapalooza.com. Single-day lineups and tickets will be released at a later date:

Organizers noted that health and safety policies — such as negative tests, masks and proof of vaccination — may be required for the event, similar to last year. Details of any necessary measures will be announced ahead of the festival.
